Thanks to my friend Courtney, I have added pictures of Michael’s Third Annual Christmas Special. Screencaptures will be added soon, I just need to sort through them first.
Michael Buble is set to enjoy an extra special Christmas Day – because it will be his first as a dad.
The Beautiful Day hitmaker, who welcomed baby Noah on 27 August (13) with his wife Luisana, has revealed he is excited to celebrate the festive period as a first-time father.
Buble says: “He’s making (it) special for us. It doesn’t get any better. It’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened in my life. I love that little boy so much. You know, every day is actually better, including Christmas.”
The star reveals his parents always worked hard to make Christmas a magical experience for him as a young boy and he intends to do the same for his own family.
He adds, “Mum and dad loved this (time of year) a lot and made Christmas special… (They had) a lot of love and joy.
“Magical is the word; they made it magical. They made it exciting and fun and so interactive. That’s what I want to recreate for my family.”
There hasn’t been any official numbers from Spotify yet as to who was the most streamed artist on the service for Christmas Day, but we can make a guess based on last week’s numbers.
Michael Buble was the man to beat, as the crooner took nine of the Top 10 spots for most-streamed Christmas songs during the week of December 12-19. You can argue that it was your mother who was handling all the streaming at your house, but we know that isn’t true.
The nine tracks, in order of their appearance on the list, were: “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas,” “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” “White Christmas,” “Jingle Bells,” “Holly Jolly Christmas,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” “Santa Clause Is Coming To Town,” “Cold December Night” and “Santa Baby.”
Buble kind of had an advantage in raking up all these high-hitting songs: Listeners most likely began streaming his 2011 album Christmas and then just let it run through. However, the top stream was album opener “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas,” the rest of the Top 10 aren’t in the same order as the tracklist of the album. So yes, listeners did play favorites at least a little.
Speaking of playing favorites, you’ll notice Buble’s version of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” was his second most-played track. However, Carey’s original version was the only song not by Buble to make the Top 10, making it the second most streamed Christmas song this holiday. He didn’t have total domination, just somewhat complete domination.
It should be noted that Buble didn’t nearly dominate Spotify as a whole. According to the service, Eminem’s “Monster” feat. Rihanna was still atop the list of most-streamed for the U.S. However, in the U.K., the service noted that Wham!’s “Last Christmas” was the top-streamed song overall.
Michael Buble’s three-year-old Christmas album has kept Beyonce’s surprise new album off the top of the Australian charts after posting its fourth week at number one.
Beyonce’s self-titled album has topped the iTunes charts in over 100 countries.
Buble has shown himself to be the voice of Christmas in Australia, having topped the charts with Christmas every year since the album was released in 2011.
The album is eight times platinum in Australia, selling more than 560,000 copies. Last year, 68,860 copies were sold in the week before Christmas alone.
The Canadian crooner is not the only one to appear on the ARIA charts with Christmas albums.
Human Nature are not far behind Buble, sitting at fourth place with The Christmas Album. Other new Christmas releases include Susan Boyle’s Home For Christmas and Kelly Clarkson’s Wrapped in Red.
Mariah Carey has re-entered the charts with her 1994 album Merry Christmas alongside Rod Stewart, who has just made the cut, reaching number 40 with last year’s album Merry Christmas, Baby.

NBC has cast Grammy Awards winners Kelly Clarkson (Wednesday, Dec. 11, 10 p.m.) and Michael Buble (Wednesday, Dec. 18, 10 p.m.) to star in a pair of upcoming hourlong holiday specials.
The Kelly Clarkson special will be based loosely on Charles Dickens’ classic novel “A Christmas Carol.” During the course of the yet untitled special, Clarkson’s character will learn about the true meaning of Christmas.
For his annual holiday special, Buble will deliver some of his most popular songs in an intimate setting and invite some of his favorite guest performers as well.
“These two immensely talented Grammy Award-winning artists will be the perfect addition to the holiday season,” said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. “We are looking forward to bringing their signature sounds into America’s homes.”
Clarkson, who rose to fame in 2002 as champion of the first season of “American Idol,” has sold more than 20 million albums over the course of her career. She has 11 No. 1 singles worldwide on the Billboard charts and will release her sixth studio album, “Wrapped in Red” (RCA Records) on Oct. 25.
The Canadian-born Buble has had a handful of best-selling albums, including “It’s Time,” “Call Me Irresponsible” and his most recent, “To Be Loved.”
The Clarkson special, to be filmed in Las Vegas, will be produced by Done and Dusted Productions with Ian Stewart serving as executive producer.
Brad Lachman will produce the Buble special.

When it comes to daddy duty, Michael Bublé is just getting his feet (and face!) wet.
But, according to the first-time father, so far, he’s being showered with plenty of love courtesy his 2-week-old son Noah.
“The best [baby gift] I got was a little baby circus tent and you just take it and you put it on his little wiener when you change him,” Bublé, 38, says during a Sept. 19 appearance on Steve Harvey.
“The dude peed on me like 40 times!” he explains.
Fortunately, fellow father Steve Harvey isn’t about to let baby Noah rain on anyone’s parade. The host gifted Bublé with a box full of blue branded pee-pee teepees along with a trendy take on the traditional pacifier.
“They made these pacifiers for your baby, but they got mustaches on them,” Harvey explains, prompting the two men to try them out.
